Shazam! director David F. Sandberg participated in a recent Quarantine Watch Party for the film hosted by ComicBook.com. Filmmakers and actors get a chance to reveal information about films in events like these. In the case of this joint viewing, Sandberg revealed that there was a celebrity cameo that wasn't previously reported.
In a scene where Shazam and his siblings are getting chased by Dr. Sivana, the hero had to think of another location to immediately transport to. The next scene then shows that they transported all the way to the "Booty Trap" club that he and Freddy have always wanted to go to. When they were all in the middle of talking outside the club, actor Seth Green can be seen along with two people walking past the characters.
Sandberg confirmed this in a tweet, saying that Green visited the set that day. You can check out a screenshot from the scene in question below, where the actor can be spotted looking at the hero.
As for the sequel, Sandberg recently revealed that filming for Shazam! 2 was supposed to start later this year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the situation months from now is unclear, so it remains to be seen whether or not it will still be pushed through. That said, Sandberg is working on the script in the meantime and the team is making some progress remotely.
Shazam! 2 is set to arrive in theaters on April 1, 2022.
