Production for TV shows and movies have been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, James Gunn's The Suicide Squad has already wrapped production but fans are eager to know more about what's to come in the movie, especially its rating. There have been reports suggesting that The Suicide Squadcould be Rated R, and apparently, the director already knows what it's going to be.

In a recent Q&A session on Twitter, a fan asked Gunn if he already has an idea of The Suicide Squad's rating. "Oh yes I know but I can't yet say," the director wrote, capping it off with a smiley emoji.

Though Gunn is tight-lipped about that info, it's safe to assume that The Suicide Squad would likely be Rated R. Though it's not within the DCEU, Joker was actually R-rated, including the recent DCEU film Birds of Prey. Given that the option's open to make his film R-rated and the nature of these characters involved in the film, it wouldn't be a shock if it gets that rating.

For now, Gunn and the team are hard at work in editing the film to be on track with its August 2021 release date. Of course, they are working remotely as well during their self-quarantine. Fans can't wait to see Gunn's spin on this supervillain team and which characters he'll be including in the upcoming movie.

The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters on August 6, 2021.
