Sebastian Stan Wants To Play The Riddler As DC Villain Set To Return In Matt Reeves' Batman Film

People already know and love Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it looks like the Avengers: Endgame star is also interested in playing a DC comic book villain in the future. Stan has just admitted that he wants to play The Riddler in the DC Extended Universe.

Stan spoke about his interest in Edward Nigma while attending the Jus In Bello convention in Rome, Italy (via Comicbook.com). The Ricki and the Flash star confessed he is hoping to tackle the role in the future.

"I would love to try and play The Riddler. That's an interesting character," Stan said. "I don't know how you'd play that one actually, that would be very hard to be honest, because you couldn't be like crazy crazy crazy. You would have to be kind of much darker than that, but that's an interesting character."

Stan's statement couldn't come at a better time. It has just been reported that The Riddler is one of the three main villains in Matt Reeves' Batman movie which could star Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, as per We Got This Covered. The other baddies expected to appear in the film are Catwoman and Penguin.

It's certainly a challenging role and we're wondering if Stan could play the part. After all, the Riddler was famously portrayed by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever as well as Cory Michael Smith in the series Gotham. Could Stan be the next Nygma? We'll keep you posted on any updates.
