James Gunn Teases Storyboards for The Suicide Squad

James Gunn was originally supposed to be working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but circumstances have led to him suddenly helming The Suicide Squad for the DCEU. He's currently hard at work with the movie, and he's just teased some storyboards for the film on FB live.

While it's not really clear, you can make out a face with a mischievous grin, and I assume it's getting kicked in the face because on the right of the image looks like the bottom of a foot. Some guess this is Batman villain Clayface, but it could be just about anyone at this point.

I do have to say though, Gunn is slowly becoming more open on social media ever since he got re-hired to work on Guardians 3 again. He was always very active before, putting up teasers and talking to fans, but ever since he got fired, he had gone quiet. Now it looks like he's back, and he's ready to get everyone pumped for his first DCEU film.

We don't know the story of The Suicide Squad movie is yet, but it's considered to be a soft reboot from the original film by David Ayer. We have returning faces from Harley Quinn to Amanda Waller, but we're also getting new characters in the form of Idris Elba and possibly John Cena.

Catch The Suicide Squad when it hits theaters Aug. 6, 2021.
