Despite Swamp Thing Shutdown, DC Universe Isn't in Any Trouble

When production for DC Universe's Swamp Thing was put to a stop, fans were worried that it would mean bad news for the streaming service going forward. Though the show is still scheduled to come out, it will now have 10 episodes instead of the planned 13. These production woes are making fans pretty nervous but the company claims that this is only a minor setback and DC Universe is still going strong.

According to a statement sent to Slash Film, the sudden end to the production of Swamp Thing is not a reflection on DC Universe's health. Furthermore, the statement also claims that production on the horror series ended early due to "creative differences," which is something fans don't always want to hear.

The teaser released for this series is a bit promising but we can only hope that the supposed "creative differences" doesn't affect the show's quality. Both Titans and Doom Patrol have proven to be solid shows thus far so here is hoping that Swamp Thing also does well. If not, well, there's always that new Harley Quinn animated series and the second season of Titans.

DC Universe's Swamp Thing will reportedly come out this May.
