Watch: Video has The 'Joker Stairs' Overrun by Cosplayers and Tourists

News has just come out that residents of the Bronx have been annoyed since the release of Joker because hundreds of people have been flocking to the "Joker stairs" to take pictures and videos. While it's one thing to read about it in the news, it's another thing to see it in action.

For now, some residents were said to have put up some signs on the stairs to keep people from staying too long in the location. Sure the staircase now was a historic place in cinema, but a lot of people still use it to get to work or school. The good thing is, some fans who come to take photos don't stray too long, and leave immediately. I guess it's really the people who are taking their time on the site that are really grating on the locals.

If anything, this is at least a better reaction to the film as compared to the assumed mass shootings that the movie would inspire. Despite the controversy, a lot of people are praising the work done with Joker, and the film is now on track to become the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

Forever alone in a crowd, failed comedian Arthur Fleck seeks connection as he walks the streets of Gotham City. Arthur wears two masks -- the one he paints for his day job as a clown, and the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel like he's part of the world around him. Isolated, bullied and disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.

Joker is now out in cinemas.
