With season 4 finally premiering, here are some Demon Slayer party games to try for you and your friend’s watch party for the first episode.

As one of the most popular shonen anime in recent years, the new Demon Slayer season is an exciting one, especially as it will finally see Tanjiro take his first steps in training to become a Hashira.

Here, we list four party games inspired by the mega-hit shonen series, two of which are classic party staples, with the other two being official games in the franchise.

Demon Slayer Meets Mario Party in Sweep the Board for the Switch

Perhaps the best party game you can play with friends for this weekend’s Demon Slayer celebration is Sweep the Board, an officially licensed game released just a few weeks ago on the Nintendo Switch.

As its title implies, this game lets players control various Demon Slayer characters with board game-like gameplay. Essentially, it’s like the Demon Slayer version of Mario Party.

Of course, it’s not just a Mario Party clone as Sweep the Board features some unique elements, including a day-night cycle where players must defeat demons at night.

The Hinokami Chronicles Is a More Action-Heavy Game for Fans to Enjoy

For fans who want something with more action than the recently launched Switch exclusive, there’s also Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles.

Available on all major consoles and PCs, this arena fighting game features a single-player mode that retells the story of the anime.

It’s also a great fit for a party game as it has local multiplayer. With this, fans can control a team of their favorite characters from the series and face off against friends.

While it may not have some of the Hashira that will play big roles in season 4, it does feature a roster of 31 characters, including ones from the Entertainment District Arc.

If you and your friends are all video-gamed out, you can always rely on a good old-fashioned trivia game.

It’s best if you have prizes in store for winners, though simply winning this trivia challenge should give winners bragging rights as the biggest Demon Slayer fan in your group.

  • To get you started, here are five questions that you can start with:
  • How many total episodes does the anime have so far (excluding the Mugen Train movie)?
  • Which era in Japanese history does the series take place in?
  • How many of the 12 Kizuki have been defeated as of season 3?
  • What is the full name of the Water Breathing master who trained Tanjiro?
  • How many siblings did Tanjiro have?

Depending on how well your friends know the series, you can opt to add even more difficult questions. Alternatively, you can make them multiple-choice to give everyone a better chance.

A Demon Slayer Drinking Game Could Accompany Your Group’s Rewatch

Finally for groups of Demon Slayer fans over 21 years old, a drinking game might be a fun activity to try, especially for those planning to rewatch the previous episodes.

You have a lot of freedom with this kind of game, but here are some ideas:

  • Take a sip every time Zenitsu cries or gets afraid.
  • Take a sip whenever Tanjiro gets worried about Nezuko.
  • Take a sip when Muzan appears on screen.

Much like the trivia game, you can tweak these ideas, though do remember not to overdo it with the drinking. After all, you’ll want to have your full attention when the new episode drops.

For non-drinkers, this is still a fun activity to try with non-alcoholic drinks such as mocktails. Bonus points if you can create colored mocktails or zero alcohol shots inspired by the cast.

Demon Slayer season 4 episode 1 will be streamed on Crunchyroll today at 11:45 AM PT / 2:45 PM ET.
