DCEU: Are We Getting a Harley Quinn Movie Every Year?

Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn was one of the standout stars of Suicide Squad, and she's set to return to the big screen with Birds of Prey next year. What's curious is, we might be getting a Harley movie every year moving forward.

As predicted by Harley Quinn Updates on Twitter:

Of course, we don't have any confirmations of a Gotham City Sirens movie of Suicide Squad 3 yet. There have been a lot of rumors going around though, and news of a team-up movie with GCS v BOP isn't something unheard of.

For now, I can't really tell if I should be excited about seeing more Harley onscreen. I mean, she's a fantastic character and Robbie does some great work, but having her in a DCEU film every year may seem a bit much. Then again, Chris Evans appeared as Captain America in a Marvel film 8 out of the last 9 years; but some of those appearances were just cameos. It looks like DC is ridiculously holding on to Harley to carry all of these films moving forward.

Then again, that's just my opinion. For all we know this could all turn out great, but it's too soon to speak. We're still waiting for the DCEU to get back on its feet, and after hits like Aquaman and Shazam!, things are honestly starting to look up.

Catch Harley Quinn when Birds of Prey hits theaters Feb. 7, 2020.
