Zack Snyder Reveals Original Plans For His Justice League Including Time Travel and the Knightmare World

Even until now, DCEU fans have been clamoring for the release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, but the way it looks, the studio isn't going to budge at all. Zack Snyder recently had a panel during a fundraising event for his old art school and there he reveals a bunch of new details for his scrapped Justice League film.

According to ComicBookMovie, Snyder didn't even shoot his original plan for Justice League. He was apparently forced to alter it after the reception of Batman v Superman, and his plans were once again changed after Joss Whedon took over.

The Knightmare sequence from BvS was supposed to show an alternate Earth where Darkseid had taken over, and Superman had succumbed to the ‘Anti-Life Equation.' Remaining members of the League Batman, Flash, and a ‘broken' Cyborg the come up with a mission to have Flash go back in time, and save Lois Lane from dying so Superman doesn't turn evil.

The plot gets way more complicated than that, and seeing that Justice League came up with a much simpler story, I'm now getting more and more pumped for a movie that we're never going to see. Despite its flaws, Snyder's DCEU plans were nothing less than ambitious, and they seemed a lot more complicated than what we've seen with the MCU so far.

For now, all we can do is wait for WB to try another crack at Justice League in the next 10 years or so. The original actors may be gone now, but no use dwelling on what could have been.

The next DCEU movie down the line is Shazam! and it comes out April 5.
