Who Is My Hero Academia’s Tatami?

My Hero Academia introduced viewers to different characters. Some are heroes who help out other people, while others turned out to be villains with a selfish plan to take over the world or have revenge on people. Whatever type of character is added to the story, we have to agree that each of them has their own personality and purpose to make the series more interesting.

One of those characters is Tatami Nakagame. Also known as Turtle Neck, Tatami is a student at Ketsubutsu Academy High School. She is training to become a Pro Hero. She is a character with a curvaceous build and large pointed teeth. Who is she anyway?

Who Is My Hero Academia’s Tatami?

Tatami follows Class 1-A despite being their rival group. She even asks autographs from them and was not ashamed of it. She has a good relationship with her classmates and can work well with them. One trait that differentiates her from other heroes is that she is fault-finding. Meaning, she will not stop until she tells the person that they made a mistake.

This personality made her different from others as she is not scared to call out one’s weakness or fault. Fans can easily spot her as she is the character with wide and rectangular eyes. She has an aquatic motif with two fish-like earrings. Her costume is made of an aquamarine turtleneck bodysuit with sleeves cut halfway. To complete her look, she has salmon pink gloves with cuffs that look like turtle feet.

Tatami’s quirk is called Telescopic. It allows her to make her body, particularly her limbs, body, and head retract themselves. When this happens, she will look like a turtle. The process is instantaneous but when she tries to un-retract, she will have to wait for a few moments.

So far, Tatami does not have a lot of screentime to further explain her character and quirk. Hopefully, fans will get a chance to see more of her, and how she will fit into the story. Fans will have to continue watching My Hero Academia to follow her journey along with the other heroes.
