Beast Tamer, also known as The Beast Tamer Who Was Exiled from His Party Meets a Cat Girl From the Strongest Race, is based on the light novel of the same name by Suzu Miyama.
Later, it was taken over by Kodansha who published it as a light novel with art made by Hotosoka.
How Many Volumes Does Beast Tamer Have?
The Beast Tamer light novel is still ongoing, with the eighth volume having been released on July 1, 2022. Apart from the light novel, Beast Tamer also received a manga adaptation that is illustrated by Moto Shigemura.
The manga started serialization on Manga UP! by Square Enix on January 30, 2019. The seventh volume of the Beast Tamer manga came out on September 7, 2022.
How Much of Beast Tamer Did the Anime Cover?
By the end of Beast Tamer’s 13-episode run, the anime has covered the first two volumes along with the first two chapters of the third volume of the Beast Tamer light novel series.
In the finale episode of Beast Tamer Season 1, Rein reflected on the recent events and was feeling grateful to have encountered trusted allies like Kanade, Tania, and the rest of his crew.
The episode ended with a flashback of Rein’s parents. He was also shown looking forward to the next adventures with his friends.
Where to Start Reading Beast Tamer After the Anime
For fans who want to pick up where the anime left off and not read what has been covered in Season 1, we recommend reading from Chapter 3 of Beast Tamer’s light novel series.
From Chapter 3 onwards, Rein and his party members, including Kanade, Tania, Sora, Runa, and Nina, will explore new lands and places.
We expect to see the group embark on new adventures as Rein becomes an even more powerful Beast Tamer and adventurer.
Meanwhile, Arios and his hero party, who still hold grudges against Rein, will most likely continue to plot something evil against the ace Beast Tamer.
