What Is the Meaning of Tadaima, Okaeri?
Tadaima and Okaeri are Japanese words that frequently pop up in anime. In fact, we hear it in practically every anime, especially when a character returns home from work or school and another character responds.
Most anime characters say "tadaima" when they come home, whereas those who haven't left the house answer with "okaeri." These phrases go hand in hand since they serve as a greeting and a response.
In the manga series by Ichi Ichikawa, Tadaima, Okaeri literally translates to "I'm Home, Welcome Back." The anime reduces the English title to just "Welcome Home," which signifies the same thing.

What Is the Tadaima, Okaeri Anime About?
Tadaima, Okaeri, also known as Welcome Home, follows an alpha and omega male couple living in the suburbs.
Masaki Fujiyoshi is an omega male, and Hiromu Fujiyoshi is an alpha male, so their relationship looks weird to most people.
After all, an omega like Masaki frequently faces disparaging words, discrimination, and judgment. His kind is frequently the object of curiosity, which makes him worried about Hiromu's situation at work.
Worse, their neighbors have nothing good in mind whenever they see the Fujiyoshi couple. As much as Hiromu and Masaki wish to live a quiet life, others always have something bad to say.
Because of this, Masaki and Hiromu decided to relocate to a more peaceful neighborhood, where they could properly raise their child and give him a wonderful life growing up.
Tadaima, Okaeri revolves around the everyday life of the Fujiyoshi family, from shopping together to just staying at home.
Their day-to-day peaceful lives are what matter most to Masaki and Hiromu, and they will ensure that Hikari grows up to be a kind and smart person one day.
