It goes without saying that comic book film fans have had a love and hate relationship with Warner Bros but over the years, it's quite evident that their disdain towards the production company continues to grow, especially with how WB has handled the DC Extended Universe.

Of course, most of you are well aware that the franchise has been in shambles for years now and despite several attempts to match the Marvel Cinematic Universe's popularity, they can't seem to hit the mark with the exception of some films.

Now, a major rumor has been circulating all over the internet claiming that WB and DC Film's upcoming offering The Flash is set to pull the plug on the entire DCEU and change everything we thought we knew about it. According to the said rumor, the Ezra Miller film will reset the franchise's continuity and get rid of Superman and Batman.

As it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but Michael Keaton's involvement in HBO Max's Batgirl project which is also set in the DCEU seems to support the rumor. Naturally, fans are pissed about the possibility of the DCEU getting a major facelift and taking matters into their own hands, some folks have kickstarted a new campaign to boycott Warner Bros.

Being an avid supporter and believer of the DCEU myself, I can't help but feel frustrated with the way WB has been handling business, and instead of listening to the fandom, the powers that be have shown just how stubborn they are through the years. Now, assuming the entire DCEU revamp thing is real, I don't think it's going to fix the problem they've been dealing with for the longest time now.

The Flash hits cinemas in November.
