Things get competitive between Druj and Kyouko as they fight to become Jahy's true underling. Meanwhile, Saurva tries to attack Jahy again. Kyouko is getting tired of the Dark Lord becoming a NEET in her home and asks Jahy for more information about the Dark Lord's past.

The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! Episode 16 Recap
Druj and Jahy are at the cafe for their regular meeting, but Druj is angry when Kyouko suddenly tags along. Druj gets even more enraged when Kyouko introduces herself as Jahy's friend, even calling her Jahy-kun. There is immediate tension between the two while Jahy tries to get both of them to calm down. Druj and Kyouko then challenge each other to see who could collect the most mana crystals. They start immediately and go out, leaving Jahy to wash the dishes since she couldn't pay the bill.
Saurva is back with her plans to eliminate Jahy. This time, she's more confident with her plans since she observed Jahy's routine. She set up traps around Jahy's usual route, hoping that Jahy would get caught in it. Unfortunately, Saurva gets confused when she sees Kyouko beside Jahy. Moreover, the traps don't even touch Jahy because it's Kyouko who ends up getting caught in the trap. Saurva starts doubting herself, wondering if she made the trap too weak because Kyouko is unscathed. Saurva tests the third trap by herself, which leads her to yet another unfortunate situation while Jahy remains untouched.
Kyouko is getting tired of the Dark Lord doing the absolute bare minimum in her house: eating, sleeping, and lazing around. One day, Kyouko forgets her lunch box before leaving for school. The Dark Lord follows her to school to bring her lunch box, but only for Kyouko to find it empty. While on their way to work, Kyouko asks Jahy about the Dark Lord since she doesn't really see what's so amazing about her. While the two are talking, a mysterious light is following them. Before the light could get to Jahy and Kyouko, the Dark Lord gets rid of it.
