The Batman’s Robert Pattinson Piques Interest With Retracted Comment About The Joker Movie

It looks like DC's new Batman star, Robert Pattinson, may have just given away some spoilers to Warner Brothers' highly anticipated Joker movie.

The Batman star just recently spoke in an interview with Variety to help promote his upcoming DC Extended Universe entry, and the discussion about his upcoming role as DC's new Dark Knight has raised a few questions among fans. According to the publication, Pattinson says that he isn't really that sure whether he'll play Batman for more than one movie.

"I don't know anything," the actor told the news site, "I've got an idea how to do about four scenes, and then I'm working on the rest gradually."

Variety writer Ramin Setoodeh then says in his piece that Pattinson accidentally makes a "mundane comment" about Joaquin Phoenix's new Joker movie, something that isn't revealed in the article.

"Oh sh-," Pattinson says, explaining that he's not really used to working on films where spoilers are a problem. "I definitely should not say that. I'm so used to pretty art-house movies where you can watch the movie three times and still not know what it's about."

It doesn't seem likely that we'll get to know what Pattinson really said in his original comment, but it does certainly pique our interest. Was the Batman actor talking about an appearance in the Joker movie? Did he have a part in the film? Did he get to see a part of the film? Maybe the actor could have been talking about WB's plans for the future of DC. Who knows.

Let's wait and see.

Joker premieres on October 6, 2019. The Batman, on the other hand, hits cinemas on June 25, 2021.
