As The Bad Batch season 3 comes to a close, Star Wars fans can expect a brand-new six-episode animated series on Disney Plus. Here is how long the episodes are in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire.

Tales of the Empire Official Episode Runtime Revealed

The story of the Clone Force 99 escaping the Empire while protecting Omega has come to an end for now. This brings the animated universe of Star Wars to introduce a new storyline about the galaxy's biggest threat: Tales of the Empire.

The Bad Batch ended its run within three seasons at an average runtime of 40-51 minutes per episode. Considering that Tales of the Empire is shorter in comparison, the episodes are potentially less than an hour's runtime.

Since Tales of the Empire is Dave Filoni's highly anticipated second installment to 2022's Tales of the Jedi, fans can expect the same episode runtime length of approximately 10-15 minutes in the six episodes.

Tales of the Empire will be following The Clone Wars' former Jedi Barriss Offee and Ahsoka villain Morgan Elsbeth with the series set to bring special cameos such as Darth Vader and Grand Admiral Thrawn.

What is the Tales of the Empire Series About?

The official synopsis from Disney+ describes Star Wars: Tales of the Empire as exploring the journey of the "fearsome Galactic Empire" through the eyes of "two warriors" set during "different eras."

Tales of the Empire follows young Morgan Elsbeth (played by Diana Lee Inosanto) and former Jedi Barriss Offee (Meredith Salenger) as they navigate the expanding Imperial galaxy on their own destined paths.

While Tales of the Jedi explores the prequel trilogy era, Tales of the Empire expands more on the characters from the Galactic Empire.

All six episodes of Tales of the Empire will be available to stream on Disney+ on Saturday, May 4 at 3 AM ET.
