The Suicide Squad anime’s announcement back in July was a surprise for many. As the wait for its release continues, the Suicide Squad Isekai anime revealed new voice cast members, including the VA of Katana.
Details about the new cast members were shared on DC Japan’s official pages. Similar to the previously announced VAs, the new cast features lots of notable names.
Lycoris Recoil’s Chisato VA Joins the Suicide Squad Anime
Katana may not have been shown in the anime’s previous trailer, but Suicide Squad Isekai finally shared a new character visual for the popular character.
As for her VA, Katana will be voiced by Chika Anzai in this upcoming series. Anzai should be a familiar actress for many anime fans as she voiced the popular Chisato in Lycoris Recoil.
Along with Chisato, Anzai is also known for being the VA of Reina Kousaka in Sound! Euphonium, Chisa Kotegawa in Grand Blue, and Hanabi Yasuraoka in Scum’s Wish.
Suicide Squad Isekai Reveals More New Cast Members
Alongside Anzai, more voice cast members of the anime were revealed, including:
- Taku Yashiro (Tsugaru Shinuchi in Undead Girl Murder Farce) as Rick Flag
- Kujira (Orochimaru in Naruto) as Amanda Waller
- Reina Ueda (Cha Hae-In in Solo Leveling) as Fione
- Mamiko Noto (Sawako Kuronuma in Kimi ni Todoke) as Aldora
- Jun Fukushima (Kazuma Satou in KonoSuba) as Cecil
Meanwhile, here is the list of previously revealed VAs:
- Anna Nagase (Riko Amanai in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Harley Quinn
- Yuuichirou Umehara (Goblin Slayer in Goblin Slayer) as The Joker
- Reigo Yamaguchi (Ishida in Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress) as Deadshot
- Takehito Koyasu (Kraft in Frieren) as Peacemaker
- Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass) as Clayface
- Subaru Kimura (Haruki Hayashida in Tokyo Revengers) as King Shark

Suicide Squad Isekai 2024 Release Confirmed
The Suicide Squad Isekai anime was an unexpected announcement during Anime Expo 2023. After all, one of DC’s most popular groups getting isekai’d is something pretty much no one expected.
Working on the anime is Wit Studio, the notable studio behind the first three seasons of Attack on Titan and one-half of Spy x Family.
Currently, the series is confirmed to be released sometime in 2024. For now, though, there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
Given that there’s no release date yet, chances are that it will premiere at the earliest in the summer, though a fall release might be more likely.
