The Shibito has kidnapped Memempu, and Gagumber is ready to do everything to save her. Clouded by rage, Gagumber even says he's prepared to die trying. However, Zackletu and Yuri knock some sense back into him. They tell Gagumber that they're also part of Team Memempu, so the three of them will save her together. Gagumber and Zackletu get on the latter's motorcycle while Yuri prepares to do some hacking.

Meanwhile, Muro and the leader of the Shibito tell Memempu that Gagumber is not her birth father. They continue to call her "rainbow child." Memempu insists that she's just a normal child, and Gagumber is her father. The Shibito leader starts telling Memempu that rainbow children have advanced brains, which lets them remember the memories that they have from birth. Memempu thinks about her recurring dream, the mysterious place she desperately seeks, and realizes that the Shibito leader is telling the truth. The Shibito aim to get rid of these "cursed children" because they believe these children are the cause of the continued destruction in the Underworld.

The chaos happening in the Dream Colony between the Bureau and the Shibito block Zackletu and Gagumber's route. Zackletu starts shooting with her weapons while Gagumber moves ahead. When Gagumber reaches Memempu, she's still trying to process everything that just happened. The Shibito leader and Gagumber start fighting with their mecha. During the fight, some animus spills on Memempu. However, since rainbow children are born containing biochemical factors, it doesn't affect her. Memempu realizes that she isn't human, nor Gagumber's daughter. When the Shibito leader tells Gagumber to stay out of their war, Gagumber gets angry and tells him that he's part of it since they're messing with his daughter.

Despite the injuries, Gagumber saves Memempu. When the Shibito leader is about to kill Gagumber, Memempu tells him to take her instead. Gagumber gets angry with Memempu and asks her what she truly wants. He reassures her that despite not being related by blood, that doesn't mean anything to him, and he's her father, no matter what. The Shibito leader leaves, saying that he'll allow Gagumber to keep Memempu for a while longer.

The Shibito aim for the tower while Gagumber and Memempu chase after them. Eventually, they manage to contain them. The Bureau gives each member of Team Memempu an award for protecting the Colony, but also an arrest warrant for the destruction they caused. The four of them run away and set out to continue their journey to find the place in Memempu's memories.
