Petition to Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2 Gets More Signatures Following Johnny Depp's New Testimony

The legal drama between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp continues and the latest testimony from the Pirates of the Caribbean star may have convinced more people to take his side. The petition asking Warner Bros. to remove Heard from Aquaman 2 has just reached over 400,000 signatures following Depp's graphic description of how his ex-wife managed to sever his finger.

A new report from The Daily Mail shared a recording of Depp explaining how his finger was partially severed because of a fight with Heard. According to the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald star, his ex had thrown multiple bottles at him, one of which hit his hand and injured his finger.

"My hand was resting on the marble of the bar… The first bottle went just past my ear. The second one was a larger bottle, and it smashed into the bar…" Depp said before stating that "the tip of the finger was severed" and "all the bone was completely shattered."

Not surprisingly, people were outraged when they learned about Heard's actions. It didn't take long before the petition asking for the actress' removal from Aquaman 2 once again gained attention. As of writing, the petition already has 406,175 signatures and is getting more signatures by the minute.

Heard is still expected to reprise her role as Mera in the sequel to Aquaman alongside Jason Momoa. Although the film has not yet started production, it is already scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.
