Things start to get interesting in Orient as Kojiro received power from his new sword. The duo went to a sword trial but only Kojiro was able to pass. This would mean that Musashi does not get a better sword to win against Oni.
Kojiro got a blue sword which was kind of common. Musashi got black, which was usually represented as a rejection of all Kitetsu Blades. Some even believe that this would mean that his soul was forsaken and he cannot be a Bushi. With Kojiro’s sword, he can slay Oni while Musashi just stands on the sidelines.

Orient Episode 8 Details
The upcoming episode will be released on February 23, 2022 at 11 PM JST. The episode might tell more about the Nameless Dog Shiro that has the same darkness as Musashi. This new character might have the answers to Musashi’s questions.
It will be available on AT-X and TV Tokyo. Fans have the option to stream the episode on Crunchyroll, especially if they do not have access to the aforementioned channels. The streaming platform has a membership fee of $9.99 per month which will enable members to enjoy ad-free shows, check out the manga and anime libraries, and do off-line viewing.
Fans can also simulcast Orient one hour after Japan to get updated on the series without waiting for days. Crunchyroll also made an announcement that the English dubbed version of Orient will make its premiere on the same date that episode 8 will come out.
The dubbed version will be led by A.J Beckles who plays Musashi. He will be joined by Stephen Fu and Emi Lo. Of course, fans can still watch the original Japanese audio with English subtitles if they wish to.
The previous episode gave fans a glimpse of Musashi’s past. Could this be the reason his blade was black? Hopefully, some answers will be provided in episode eight of Orient.
