New Details About Justice League Star Ezra Miller’s Choking Controversy Revealed

Earlier this week, DC fans were stunned to find a video of Ezra Miller showing the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star at a bar in Iceland choking an unnamed woman. No one really expected the Justice League actor to behave the way he did, and ever since the video's release, Miller has been on the receiving end of a heavy backlash.

While netizens have been criticizing Miller for his behavior, new details about the incident have finally made its way online, offering a potential explanation as to why Miller choked the woman.

According to a new report by Variety, a source from Prikið Kaffihús (the bar where the altercation took place) says that a group of eager fans approached Miller at the tavern. These fans were described to be "quite pushy," and somehow, their conversation with Miller escalated. Losing his temper at one of the women involved, the DC Extended Universe grabbed the fan by the throat.

While we understand that there are fans that can be a little bit too much, this doesn't necessarily excuse Miller from resorting to violence. Unless, of course, the fans tried to physically accost the actor. Then the incident could have been ruled out as an act of defense.

Though Miller isn't under investigation for choking the fan, there are concerns right now that the controversy surrounding the actor may force Warner Brothers to cancel The Flash movie. It's an alarming thought, though we've yet to hear from Warner Brothers about how they're responding to the incident.

The Flash is currently set for release on July 1, 2022.
