Made in Abyss Season 2 Episode 2 Recap
The second episode begins with Reg, Riko, and Nanachi's exploits at the entrance to the Capital of the Unreturned. They discovered that the Golden City is located in the sixth layer. The setting is similar to Orth, with the exception that it is in ruins and made of crystals.
They also spot a turbinid dragon lurking nearby. The dragon has poisonous scales that rupture when struck, according to Riko's notes. It is also tenacious and can move freely in three dimensions despite the abyss curse.
Furthermore, a single turbinid dragon is as lethal as a swarm of amaranthine-deceptors.
Riko and the others identify mizojacks, which often build nests near geothermal vents, in addition to the turbinid dragon. The good news is that these beasts are relatively docile, and their freshly laid eggs are quite tasty.
Riko and the others decided to pick up some of the mizojack's eggs in order to sample them. The geothermal vents, on the other hand, erupted! It appears to be a volcanic eruption, except that the explosion is caused by poisonous gas balls.
As a result, Riko and the others decided to camp away from the geothermal vents. Riko opted to try the mizojack's eggs after they had settled. Despite his reservations, Reg was the first to taste the eggs. The eggs, it appears, continue to move even after Reg has chewed them off.

The next day, Riko and the others discover that the Prushka whistle was stolen while they were sleeping. To investigate, they decided to follow the robber's scent. Meinya discovers some animal remains with sewn butts on their way. Surprisingly, Riko's hair and Nanachi's fur are stuffed inside the animal remains' buttocks.
Despite their unsettling discovery, Riko and the others decided to continue their adventure. They ended up in a strange place that was decorated with strings of ribs, jaws, and other body parts.
When they entered the area, they were greeted by strange-looking hollows. Majikaja, a mechanical-looking hollow, greeted them unexpectedly. Is this the same person who stole Riko's Prushka whistle? What exactly is this place?
