Love All Play: What's It All About?
Ryou Mizushima loves badminton, but his dedication to the sport is mismatched with his middle school's less-than-passionate club, owing to its lack of a proper coach. When he gets scouted by a badminton coach from a prestigious high school, Ryou's passion might just finally be reciprocated.
In episode 1 of the sports anime, we were introduced to Ryou's friends and family, with the most notable ones being Shizuo, a friend whose disappointment for not being noticed like Ryou was is masterfully presented, and big sis Rika, who has already mustered a fanbase with that first episode.
We were also introduced to Kenta, the high school badminton team's ace that Ryou has been looking up to. The cliffhanger seemed to hint at a mean side to Ryou's idol.
Other things to look forward to include more of Yuki Hayashi's musical scoring, Ryou's interactions with his fellow new recruits and his new team, and the cat.
Asami Koseki's 4-volume novel of the same title ended in 2014. This anime adaptation of Love All Play isn't going to be the only one we're getting as a manga based on the novel will also be created.
