Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is basically the Avengers: Endgame of the DC animated movies that started with Justice League: War back in 2014. There have been 20 movies set in this universe and has resulted in a lot of acclaim, despite how janky some of the films are. It's the closest DC has come to matching the MCU when it comes to a cinematic universe and we can't help but enjoy them.
While the digital version has been out for a while, those that want it on Blu-Ray and DVD can now get it. This is great for those that have been collecting these DC animated movies - someone really needs to make an acronym for this cinematic universe - so if you want to see how this version of the DC universe ends, check the movie out.
Culminating a six-year animated journey that began with the release of Justice League War in 2014, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War finds Earth decimated after intergalactic tyrant Darkseid has devastated the Justice League in a poorly executed war by the DC Super Heroes. Now the remaining bastions of good – the Justice League, Teen Titans, Suicide Squad, and assorted others – must regroup, strategize and take the war to Darkseid in order to save the planet and its surviving inhabitants. This is truly the war to end all wars, and only the victor will live to enjoy the spoils.
