For the past dozen Jujutsu Kaisen chapters, Gojo and Sukuna have been locked into a massive fight. Going back to the series’ beginning, this fight has been hinted at plenty of times, and it has definitely delivered.
Based on the latest manga leaks though, the fight comes to a close in Chapter 236, and the result is a shocker.
Leaks of the manga panels online show that Ryomen Sukuna has defeated Gojo. This means Gojo, aka the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer of the modern era, is dead.
Saying that this result has huge implications for the series moving forward is an understatement, especially considering how important Gojo is in the story.
With Sukuna emerging victorious, it’ll be interesting to see what the jujutsu sorcerers will do next.

Fans Aren’t Happy About the Latest Jujutsu Kaisen Developments
Gojo is one of the most popular characters in the series, so his death (based on the leaks) has hit fans hard.
What’s worse is that fans may have to endure a double dose of Gojo pain as the anime’s next episode might also show Gojo being sealed in the Shibuya Incident arc.
This turn of events has led many fans to jokingly (or perhaps not) get angry at creator Gege Akutami for killing off a favorite.
Meanwhile, some fans didn’t like the development not because of Gojo's death, but due to how it was executed.
Some complained on sites like Reddit that Gojo dying doesn’t make sense or came too abruptly.
Fans will need to wait for the official release to get the definitive version of events. Thankfully, it won’t be long now as Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 will be released this weekend.
