We're all pretty excited to see Shazam come out next month but it looks like veteran artist Jim Lee is a little more excited than most. Granted, he's one of the heads of DC Comics so that makes sense, but that didn't stop fans from smiling when he unveiled his variant cover for Shazam #4, which has the character in his movie costume.

If you really wanted to critique this, you could argue that Lee doesn't make the character look like actor Zachary Levi but no one really has a problem with this. Hell, Levi himself has praised the variant cover, actually claiming that it's a dream come true. We probably won't see Lee illustrate the Shazam series anytime soon but this is the next best thing.

Expect hype for the movie to escalate, as we've already seen a few new tv spots and images from the superhero film. After the success of Aquaman, we're really hoping that this movie continues the momentum for DC, who really need it after the lackluster box office numbers of Justice League.

Fans interested in this variant cover might want to pick up the current Shazam series, which is being penned by Geoff Johns. The writer is responsible for this character's New 52 incarnation, which is what the movie is based on so fans should have a good time with this. Hopefully, the movie will be just as magical as the comic book series.

Shazam comes out on April 5.
