Jared Leto Wants To Play DCEU Joker Again In Future Projects

Love him or hate him, Jared Leto turned in a truly memorable performance as the Clown Prince of Crime in Suicide Squad. But what are the chances that the Blade Runner 2049 star would actually reprise the role in the future? Leto has just admitted that he is eager to play the Joker all over again in another DC Extended Universe flick.

People have been wondering if the Joker will turn up again anytime in the future. After all, a few photos that were taken on the set of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) showed Margot Robbie working with a different actor dressed as the Clown Prince of Crime. Although Leto didn't reveal why he isn't in the new DCEU flick, he did admit to Variety that he is more than willing to put on that flashy purple suit again soon.

"I would definitely play the Joker again. It all depends on the script and the circumstances as it always does," Leto said.

But will Warner Bros. actually consider bringing back Leto's tattooed Joker? There's already a new Joker in town and he's played by Joaquin Phoenix. Is it possible that two different Jokers could exist in the DCEU? We'll have to wait until we get an official announcement on this one.

We're not yet sure if Leto will play the Joker again soon but he's certainly ready for a new role. Leto is currently working on Sony's Morbius movie where he will play the vampiric Michael Morbius.
