James Gunn Admits Talking to Warner Bros. About New DC Project After The Suicide Squad

We already know that James Gunn has two major Warner Bros. projects coming up and will be working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 really soon. But what are the chances that he'll continue working with the studio? The Suicide Squad director has just confirmed that he has already discussed future DC projects with Warner Bros. after Peacemaker.

Gunn is still promoting The Suicide Squad which is already set to premiere next week but he has also been hyping up the spin-off series Peacemaker. It's no secret that he's already busy with his next projects for Marvel but it looks like he could soon reunite with Warner Bros.

A fan recently reached out to Gunn asking if he has discussed more DC projects after The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Not surprisingly, the filmmaker admitted to meeting with Warner Bros. about other projects.

He didn't exactly elaborate on the discussions but this is great news considering that people have high expectations when it comes to Gunn's works. He has done wonders with the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and there is little doubt he'll be able to do the same for The Suicide Squad. Needless to say, we can't wait to see more of Gunn's movies in the future.

The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on August 5, 2021. The spin-off show Peacemaker, which will star John Cena's character, has recently been confirmed to premiere on HBO Max on January 15, 2022. The first three episodes will be released on the first day.
