Everything You Need to Know about the Frieren Manga
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is based on a fantasy manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe.
The manga commenced serialization in April 2020, so it is quite ahead of the anime, leaving plenty of material for those who don't want to wait for a new episode each week.
To this day, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End counts 129 chapters. Of those, 107 have been collected into 11 volumes. The 10th volume was made available in English on February 20, 2024.
Frieren is a highly recommended award-winning manga that won the 14th Manga Taishō title.
It also received the New Creator Prize of the 25th annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
Other manga to have won the latter award include Beastars and A Silent Voice.
Is the Frieren Manga Over? Status Explained
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is currently an ongoing manga, so we don't yet know if Frieren, Fern, and Stark's journey will ever end, and how.
In Japan, the manga is being serialized by Weekly Shōnen Comics' imprint, Shōnen Sunday Comics.

Is the Frieren Manga on Hiatus?
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End goes in and out of hiatus, and it is scheduled for another hiatus after the release of the next chapter.
As of this update, there are 129 chapters, with the last chapter titled Shadow of the Empire, released on April 24, 2024.
The Frieren manga is reported to go on another hiatus likely for an indefinite period.
Early in 2023, a January Shōnen Sunday Comics issue announced that Frieren: Beyond Journey's End would go on hiatus, with no confirmation as to when the manga would be back.
The last chapter to be published before the announcement was chapter 107, which concludes volume 11.
Since then, a chapter would come out sporadically now and then during spring.
