Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Thanks Fans for the '98% Positive' Reaction to Black Adam Trailer

Following a decade of thorough planning, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will finally debut as DC's infamous anti-hero, Black Adam. Alongside The Rock, he will be joined by an ensemble cast that rounds up DC Comics' first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, with Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate.

Black Adam originally would be introduced in 2019's Shazam!, but Johnson had a different strategy in mind for the character. Thanks to him, Black Adam would now have a more substantial origin, which also leaves the door open for Justice Society of America's inclusion.

After months of anticipation, Black Adam's trailer was recently unveiled on June 8, and fans were able to see a glimpse of the action-packed sequences and the anti-hero's dark origins. The flattering response to it clearly implies that fans are ecstatic to meet DC's latest antihero.

Following that, Johnson immediately acknowledged fans for the overwhelming reaction to the Black Adam trailer.

Black Adam's first official trailer gained an impressive 18 Million views in just four days.

Johnson plans to redefine the hierarchy of power in the DCEU with Black Adam's arrival. According to the critically-acclaimed actor, "I am 100% committed to not only Black Adam, but then expanding the Black Adam universe and the DC universe. I am an optimist from the word go, so to me - and to all of us up here - all universes exist in our heads,” he told Comicbook.com. “We all will work very hard to make sure that we're honoring the mythology, but also giving the fans what they want. And I hear [them]; we all do. I pick up everything that they're putting down, and it doesn't get by me; it doesn't get by these guys. This is the beginning - hopefully, fingers crossed - of a very long storytelling road where Black Adam is the anchoring jet fuel that will then push and press this universe out."

Hopefully, Johnson's mental and physical commitment pays off with his biggest role to date. More importantly, let's hope that he could reinvent the world of DC anti-heroes with his upcoming outing as the Black Adam.

Black Adam will hit the big screens on October 21.
