Boruto: Naruto Next Generations recently killed Boruto Uzumaki and brought him back to life in a relatively short time, and this month's chapter of Masashi Kishimoto's beloved shonen series has explained the problem that still remains. Things have been heating-up for the Code-focused arc, and fans were shocked to see what Kawaki has done to his friend's body.
During the battle with Code, Momoshiki was able to take over Boruto's body, and Kawaki had no choice but to kill Naruto's son, but Momoshiki's last ditch effort within his body revived him at the cost of using 18% of his data. While Momoshiki will no longer be able to resurrect himself, there's still a major downside for Boruto.
In Chapter 68 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Boruto is being examined by Amado and Katasuke. Boruto explained that Momoshiki resurrected him by using his data to recreate Boruto's flesh. The good news, as the conversation with Boruto in the latest chapter explains, is that, yet while Momoshiki's soul is still intact, it means he lacks, it means Momoshiki lacks the data needed to construct his body, and that he'll never regain that data, so he'll never be able to resurrect again. While it's good news that Momoshiki can no longer manifest in Boruto's body, they still realize that Momoshiki's leftover soul is still a problem.

Amado explains that they still haven't found a solution for when Momoshiki takes over Boruto's consciousness, which is still a huge issue moving forward. However, when Katasuke says that that the meds have been more effective in suppressing Momoshiki's domination long-term, Boruto says that he no longer needs them because he can "channel his power better now." Boruto exactly explain how he's able to do this but this feeling could mean that he's able to suppress Momoshiki from taking over even without the meds.
