Birds of Prey: Margot Robbie on Harley Quinn Meeting Joaquin Phoenix's Joker

At this point, everyone is well aware that Jared Leto's Joker will not show up in Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). But what would happen if Harley meets Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck? Margot Robbie considered the possibility of the DC crossover, and she has a fitting response.

Robbie recently spoke to Capital FM along with her Birds of Prey co-star Mary Elizabeth Bertinelli. During the interview, the Suicide Squad star was asked about what would happen if Harley met Arthur. Interestingly, Robbie was quick to point out that the two DC characters don't exactly exist in the same universe.

"I think they exist in two very different worlds, Todd Phillips's Gotham and this Gotham – very different. I don't know how you'd bridge that gap," she said.

Sure, it's unlikely we'll see these two showing up in a movie together soon. Nevertheless, Robbie also joked that if it does happen in some strange new universe, Arthur would probably go crazy sooner because of Harley.

"She'd drive him insane. She'd be on the other side of the fridge, like 'here.' 'J-puddin, whatcha doin?' 'I just need a minute, I'm going through a lot of shit,'" she said.

That certainly makes sense and we're actually glad that these two don't share the same universe.

Robbie and Bertinelli will appear in Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which will finally hit theaters on February 7.
