Birds of Prey Gets a Home Release Trailer

Birds of Prey was set for a much longer theatrical run, but after the Coronavirus Outbreak leads to the shutting down of several theaters, WB has opted to release the film for home video earlier. To hype up the release of Birds next week, we have a new in-home trailer.

The film is set to hit digital on March 24, and will not be the first of several films that are hitting digital early. Yesterday it was announced that Universal was bringing The Invisible Man and The Hunt to home video this Friday; the same studio is also planning to release Trolls World Tour in theaters and on digital on the same day.

While a lot of people were making Birds of Prey out to be a flop, I think the tune has changed over time. Critics actually loved the film, and while I don't really like the dialogue, I think that it's a very fun flick, with some great action and a realistic lens at women's issues. Not to mention Ewan McGregor absolutely steals all of the scenes that he's in.

"You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham's most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya's paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down."
