Fans are intrigued by the direction that CW is taking for the future of the Batwoman series based on their release of numerous trailers for the show. Especially with the recent trailer wherein Batwoman apparently introduces her girlfriend, Sophie.

The clip is much like the other trailers but is focused on their love for each other.
CW is clearly taking a route on representation, this may also be a good start for the fans to expect on what's to come.

And with so much anticipation for the CW's Batwoman, the show has been garnering mixed opinions. This is evident on Rotten Tomatoes where the show is currently rated at only 60% and has an average rating of 6.67/10 with just 5 reviews.

Some of Rotten Tomatoes' resident critics voice out their opinions. And it doesn't look good for the series, so far.

Alex Maidy from JoBlo's Movie Emporium says that the show "has a lot of potential." Although the pilot episode "feels too torn". According to Maidy, when the show "is not trying too hard," it actually "works decently." With that said, Maidy feels that the show "falls apart" when certain messages aren't delivered properly or when it "forces itself" to do so.

ComicBook.com's Charlie Ridgely agrees with this as he mentioned that the pilot "isn't that great." He also stated that the supporting cast was "poorly conceived" and that they had a "serious lack of identity." He pointed out that if you're not a fan of the Arrowverse franchise, you wouldn't find it good as well.

The show seems to be lacking, Jesse Schedeen from IGN Movies says that Batwoman "may face a more difficult battle" as it "can't establish it's own identity."

Amidst all the negative reviews, there are still some critics who find the show good.

As Delia Harrington of Den of Geek views it, the CW series is a "stylish entry into the Arrowverse." Adding that it is actually "worthy of both the Bat-family and the impressive DC TV lineage."

A review from ScreenRant's Susana Polo talks on what lesson could be driven from the Batwoman series. And that if she is to say her favorite, it is that "the show understands that the best Batwoman stories are about integrity - and who can and can't afford to have it."

Batwoman surely has a division in terms of reviews. I think one could only know whether in the future if the fans actually change their minds or are fixed on the thought that they dislike the series.

Batwoman will be out on the 6th of October.
