Episode 20 is a tough one for Kukuru. She's overworked and torn between her desire to do well in marketing and her interest in marine life. When a dolphin escapes from its tank and into the sea, the attendants have to check on it continuously. While not an attendant herself, Kukuru's attention is split between work and the incident as she can't help wanting to ensure the dolphin's wellbeing.

As a result, Kukuru's work suffers, and her manager isn't pleased, especially when he finds out she's been speaking out to see the dolphin. Her mental health further declines when she finds out that Gama Gama will be demolished.
She and her manager later convene with a wedding planner, offering a proposal about weddings to be held at Tinbaara. Kukuru is devastated to see that both the planner and her manager expect her to prioritize people and industry needs over the animals' well-being.

Even though Kukuru points out that decorations could kill the animals and flashes could cause them anxiety, her concerns are dismissed in favor of the couples getting married and she's asked to rewrite her proposal. Could it be the case that this isn't the right job for her anymore? And how will she react to Gama Gama being gone for good?

Aquatope of White Sand Episode 21 is going to air next Friday, the 26th of November for subscribed Crunchyroll users. Due to time zone differences, many international fans will be able to stream it from November 25depending on where they are in the world. Non-subscribed users will have to wait an extra week, so they will be able to stream Episode 21 online later, but episode 20 will be available to everyone for free with ads by November 26.
