From House of Harkness to Coven of Chaos to Darkhold Diaries, the official title of the WandaVision spinoff is the surprise WandaVision hit she sang: Agatha All Along.
Kathryn Hahn is set to reprise her titular role as Agatha Harkness in her own spinoff show soon. Upon breaking out of the spell the Scarlet Witch left her in Westview, Agatha All Along will be comprised of more powerful witches making their on-screen debut.
Here is everything we know so far about Agatha All Along's release date, plot predictions, and potential reasons for delays.
Agatha All Along Release Date on Disney+
After being a fan-favorite in WandaVision, Agatha Harkness will finally get her own solo outing and this time, she can definitely say, "It's been Agatha All Along!"
Agatha All Along, formerly titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos, was first confirmed by Marvel Studios back on Disney Plus Day in November 2021.
Since then, Agatha Harkness' show title has been changed more than twice during filming.
While the reason has yet to be explained, it was previously reported that changing titles is "less a sign of indecision on Marvel's part" and more of a suggestion that "Agatha is up to her old skulduggery."
May 14 settled the deal that the official title for Agatha Harkness' spinoff is Agatha All Along.
Meanwhile, the official release date for Agatha All Along is September 18, 2024, premiering its first two episodes on Disney+, which is pretty standard for any MCU show nowadays.
As for its episode count, Agatha All Along is expected to have a total of nine episodes, released weekly until November 6.
Potential Issues Agatha All Along May Face
Agatha All Along went through a two-year delay, reasons including the SAG-AFTRA writers' strike and the Marvel Phases facing scheduling issues when their roster of films and series was released in theaters and on Disney+.
Keep in mind that this series is similar to the unique quality that served WandaVision well. If sitcoms were the main theme in the storytelling of Wanda and Vision's 'normal life' in Westview, then musical numbers are in Agatha All Along.
With that in mind, post-production would definitely take longer to cover the songs, and of course, include the special effects the coven of witches may need in the nine episode-series.
What's the Story for Agatha All Along?
Well, apart from the fact that Agatha breaks out from Wanda's spell in Westview, New Jersey, the series will be introducing a new batch of witches joining the MCU and the ever-expanding Multiverse.
Previous leaks revealed that Agatha All Along will be dealing with two covens, one under Agatha and the other being that of Aubrey Plaza's character, Rio Vidal, whose coven may be connected to Mephisto and Agatha would have to keep Billy safe.
Broadway legend Patti LuPone also joins the cast of Agatha All Along, which means that more musical numbers are coming through in the series!
LuPone is set to play Lilia Calderu, a Sicilian witch who has existed for around 450 years already, and she belongs to the coven of Agatha with her ability of divination.
Agatha All Along has yet to reveal its official synopsis for the rest of the episodes as well as a trailer, so the best thing we can do right now is to wait for Marvel Studios to promote the show.
